Jack and the Beanstalk: The Remix!

This new, upbeat version of Jack and the Beanstalk centers around a young boy who wants to be a Hip-Hop superstar but doesn’t believe in himself enough to take his gift seriously. He has also been disobeying his mother more and more since the absence of his father. With help from his mother, a neighborhood giant, and his imaginary friend Nellie the Cow, Jack learns to grow his hopes and dreams like planting and watering a seed, and how to believe in the power within himself.

Pre and post-show student engagement in the form of improvisation and conversation will allow viewers to explore production elements.

Suitable for PK-8th grade audience.

The Mission of The Ensemble Theatre is to preserve African American artistic expression and enlighten, entertain and enrich a diverse community.
