Society for the Performing Arts presents Troker

If Salvador Dalí ever made a heist movie, then Mexico’s TROKER would have been the soundtrack. Hailing from the tequila-producing Mexican state of Jalisco, Troker may just be the most important new musical export today. Troker's sound careens between the sublime and the dangerous, turning on a dime from precise and complex, to wild and free. Since 2013, The six-piece group has created a blend of both composed and improvised, where metal riffage merges with powerhouse funk drumming, DJ scratching, and melodic horn lines pulling from both jazz and mariachi traditions. Troker knows what it takes to move a crowd.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30 AM-1:00 PM. If tickets remain at 1:00 PM, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill. The shows goes on rain or shine.
