Phenomenal jazz music with a fiery Latin American flare — what more could you ask for?

Diaz Music Institute
proudly presents the Inaugural Latin Jazz Jam with special guest Ignacio Berroa

Grammy Award-winner and international star Ignacio Berroa has been recognized as one of the greatest—and most important—drummers of all time. Jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie best defined Ignacio as “the only Latin drummer in the world, in the history of American music that intimately knows both worlds; his native Afro-Cuban music as well as Jazz."

Latin Jazz Jam features the most innovative, influential, and cutting-edge Latin jazz artists in the world today. The showcase fills a cultural void in concert presentation by showcasing the musical heritage of Latin American countries and America's greatest musical gift to the world — jazz.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm. If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill.

Produced by Diaz Music Institute.
