FMM’s first collaboration with the Mexican Consulate celebrates Mexico’s bicentennial in our debut on the Miller stage.  Known for its vivid and colorful culture, fascinating history, exotic cuisine, and unmistakable music, Mexico and its music have influenced and inspired many composers from around the world.
With works from colonial times to our present era, FMM will present musical arrangements and Houston premieres featuring music that is now beloved by many around the world and of course here in Texas. From classically composed pieces to timeless boleros, this is a program for the Latin music lover and the entire family.
A formidable cast includes Nereida García (soprano); Dominika Dancewicz (violin); Ruben Torres, Mary Carol Warwick and Paul Boyd (piano); Raúl Orlando Edwards (baritone); and the award winning Mariachi and Ballet Folklorico MECA. FMM is proud to be part of this major milestone in the history of our nearest neighbor nation.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm. If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill.
