HGO presents Puccini’s La bohème. Impetuous love. The romance of Paris. The pain of regret. All unfold in one of the world’s greatest love stories.
Rodolfo (Scott Quinn), a poet, and Mimì (Natalya Romaniw) meet by chance in his atelier and fall immediately in love. They weather break-ups and inevitable reunions, but their love proves fragile as the light of a single candle when they confront the realities of bohemian life.
Directed by Susan Li, based on HGO’s new production by John Caird (2012/13 Lynn Wyatt Great Artist). Conductor Eric Melear leads the cast and the HGO Orchestra and Chorus.
