Incredible India

Incredible India! comes to Miller for the fourth successive and successful year.

The brainchild of Samskriti’s Artistic Director, Rathna Kumar, each Incredible India! highlights different aspects of Indian cultural arts. This year two incredible dance ensembles from India – Nadam and The Stem Dance Kampni – will present extraordinary group choreography in dance styles that have not been seen too often in Houston – traditional Kathakfrom the royal courts of North India and a fairly recent genre, Contemporary Indian dance.

With the skill of acrobats and the speed of Olympic athletes, these dancers will thrill you with their amazing quickness and precision in footwork, their ballet-like lightning fast pirouettes, and their graceful hand gestures and myriad facial expressions.

So come to Miller Outdoor Theater on Saturday, September 8, 2012 and witness the exciting juxtaposition of the old and the new in Indian classical and modern dance styles in Nadam and The Stem Dance Kampni.

This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm. If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill.
